It is a multi award winning hypnotherapy method developed by Marisa Peer in her over 30 years of therapy experience. She has started to teach it in 2016.
It contains the elements of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Through hypnosis it accesses the subconscious mind which runs 95% of out life through subconscious patterns gathered often in early stages of life. Through the power of neuroplasticity we are able to rewire the mind and introduce new beliefs and behaviours.
Once settled and comfortable you will begin a journey into your own mind through hypnotic induction. It is like a guided meditation where you follow my voice to go deeper into your own internal state.
You will then revisit 3 memories which your mind will bring to you in relation to the issue you wish to work on. We shall link them to the present situation and through a variety of tools we shall interrupt them, remove them and put forward new positive suggestions and images and words for your mind to create a clear picture of what you wish to achieve. I will then give you an audio recording to listen to for the next month.
One of the rules of the mind is that the mind learns through repetition. Indeed habits are formed through repetitive use of something or way of being. Through repetitive listening you will wire the changes in. Whilst the session is powerful in itself and you can gain an amazing insight, repeated listening completes the process.
The experience of hypnosis is different for each person and differs from session to session as well but you will feel relaxed. You may also feel like you are floating. If you feel relaxed with no other bodily sensations it is also perfect.
IN short relaxation and light trance are good ways to describe hypnotic state. Remember, you are always in control.
This seems to be a common misconception that you might remain in hypnosis however this is never the case. If I walked away during the session you would either fall asleep or open your eyes and come back to your full awareness.
In therapy you never relive past experiences. You simply review them in order to understand yourself better and resolve issues which are blocking you in life. Supressed emotions can cause illness when they are left in the body for a long time. Please rest assured you will be supported every step of the way.
We change in 3 different ways.
Immediate change occurs right during the session and soon after.
Change is also incremental in which you feel gradual change over time.
Retroactive change occurs when you may not notice much change but when you look back you can see how your life was compared to how it is right now
